She was born in Cote d'loire and then later moved to France for her studies, from here she graduated in African language and studies. Through her studies she was able to link herself with her identity, her traditions and her culture she did this through art, mainly photography. To create art she uses the objects and elements that surround her and she transforms them into art. Her organisation supports up coming and new photographers as well as authors from around the world.
All her work was taken from her fathers garage which was made also a make shift studio, here she shot all of her photos with things that she had lying around her house. These photos where all take from her iPhone and included everyday items like her mothers curtains, a watering can or some colourful clothespins. |
His work features a collaboration between him and his parents in their mid-century dream home. his photos create a visual memoir which is also an exploration of all the American families. He photographed his work at home and took photos of his parents which where staged in a way that looked natural. One photo could have taken a week or two to set up.

In his art he stages events which are staged out by his parents, although staged the photographs together portray an imagine as to the relationships with his parents. He began photography in the 1980s, where the photography of making art from family portraits was not common nor appropriate, he decided to take the unknown route and began to work on photos with his dad, this was when his series began.
His art lets people discuss the topic of family outside the home which is not commonly discussed, his work became quickly popular and people started to enjoy. His work has been proven to be therapeutic meaning other people can reflect on the intergenerational family life. such as ageing, the shift in dependance and ultimately the loss of a loved one. |
